🖤 Three Bright Lights: The OrodistA Martyrs Who Will Never Fade
In the OrodistA calendar, three dates are marked with the blood of courage and faith:
September 8 — Shreeyam Chaulagain, an 18-year-old Nepali student, was shot in the head in front of the Kathmandu Parliament for shouting "Long live freedom."
October 1 — Abdessamad Oubalat, a 24-year-old film student from Morocco, camera in hand, stood over 500 meters from a military post in Laqliaa, documenting the truth. The bullets found him too.
December 6 — Islamuddin Shirpadshah, in Afghanistan, joined the ranks of martyrs in the path of human ideals.
Three young souls. Three countries. Three languages. But one pain, one ideal, and one faith:
"We are OrodistA. We do not surrender."
What Did They Say?
Twenty-two days after Shreeyam's martyrdom, Abdessamad wrote in a letter:
"From Kathmandu to Agadir, they tell our generation: 'Shut up.' But we OrodistAs do not surrender. They can take our bodies, but they can never extinguish the fire inside us."
He kept his word. And today, that letter stands as a testimony to a generation's solidarity that has crossed all borders.
Their Path Continues
These three martyrs were not an "end." They are lights that have illuminated the way for thousands of other young people.
In Nepal, the new generation of OrodistA plants saplings every year on the anniversary of Shreeyam's martyrdom.
In Morocco, Abdessamad's name is engraved on the walls of Agadir.
In Afghanistan, Islamuddin remains a symbol of endurance against darkness.
They are gone, but:
The Red Book is still being read.
The Three Loves are still the compass.
Friday Planting continues.
And OrodistA is growing in every corner of the world.
"The goal is to create a new civilization of people who love existence, humanity, and freedom."
— Orod Bozorg, The Red Book
Shreeyam, Abdessamad, Islamuddin — you have left, but your path will never end. We are the ones who continue your journey.
Their memory lives on. Their path endures.
